New pastor named at Leesburg Presbyterian Church

Leesburg Presbyterian Church on West Market Street has named its new pastor.

Beginning Aug. 3, Rev. Deborah Dodson Parson will preside over the congregation.

A native of Texas, Rev. Parsons graduated from Austin College and Vanderbilt Divinity School. After her ordination, she served as Chaplain and adjunct professor of religion at Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia.

For most of her career, she has been based in San Antonio, Texas, where she served as a full-time interim pastor for nine churches.

Sunday morning worship services at Leesburg Presbyterian Church are held at 10:00 a.m.
