Don't Miss Out...

By ClaireSmith

…on this wonderful opportunity that only comes around once every three years! A few more families are still needed to host baseball players participating in the 2007 thirteen year-old Babe Ruth World Series that takes place August 17-24 at Fireman's Field in Purcellville.

Without the community’s help, this event would not be possible. The boys will arrive in town on August 15th. As a host family you would be providing an invaluable service for these young men. The players’ length of stay will be determined by how their team advances in the tournament, so many will not remain in town for the entire tournament.

Families are asked to host at least two players. Participating families will receive support from a board member with Greater Loudoun Babe Ruth, as well as a family pass for the tournament games and events. Anyone interested in opening your home to these dedicated young ball players, should contact Bob Smedile at 703-554-9353 or smed5@verizon.net as soon as possible. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity!
